Members of the Kalamalka Highlanders and Arran Campbell Memorial Youth Pipe Bands placed VERY WELL at the 2015 British Columbia Pipers' Association Annual Gathering in Vancouver on the Easter Weekend. (Saturday, April 4th). KHPB Pipe Major Maureen Soichuk was 1st in both the 2/4 March and the 6/8 March competition of the Adult Class to win the Aggregate Trophy!! This is the first time an adult member of our pipe band has won an aggregate trophy at the Annual Gathering competitions! Maureen also played with the Kamloops Pipe Band in the Bands Competition and they placed 2nd and 3rd in the Piping Section. Piper Kyle Wilson of ACMPB and RMM Gr. 3, was 1st out of 13 pipers in the 2/4 March competition in Grade 4 Piping! Well done, Kyle!! Kyle also placed 3rd in the Grade 3 Band Competiton. ACMPB Bass player, Allison Anderson, placed 1st in the Grade 5 Band Competition event with RMM. KHPB Drum Sergeant, Neil Morrison, presented the 2015 BCPA Arran Campbell Memorial Pro Drumming Aggregate Trophy to Grant Maxwell, son of SFUPB D.S. Reid Maxwell, at the Gathering.
